A foldable Buddhist scripture table with intricately carved panels depicting dragons, phoenixes, immortals, kirins, deer, lingzhi mushrooms, lotus ponds, rolling lotus scrolls, auspicious cranes, pine and cypress trees. The craftsmanship is exquisite, portraying figures, flowers, birds, clouds, and trees with fullness, dynamic lines, and a divine presence. Estimated to be from the 18th century, it has witnessed centuries of incense and has developed a rich patina, emitting a captivating fragrance. Measuring 75 cm in length, 35 cm in height, and 26 cm in width, this rare and authentic Han-Tibetan style Buddhist artwork comes from a Canadian monk in exile from the Himalayan region.
